Physiotherapist, Sports Scientist and Coach
I am the Founder Director of Claire Adams Total Health. After graduating with a BSc in Sports Science in 2005, I progressed working for large commercial companies as a personal trainer until I could start my own business. I have also worked as a tutor and assessor in the fitness industry plus I have given invited talks within the corporate sector.
I always had an aspiration to become a Physiotherapist. At the age of 25, I decided to go back to university and studied Physiotherapy degree at Queen Margaret University, graduating in July 2014.
I embrace the challenge of working with all types of individuals. I enjoy implementing specific goals and rehabilitation plans to achieve the best outcomes for my patients and clients. I have a keen interest in functional anatomy and exercise rehabilitation. I also believe in continually developing and enhancing my skills. Alongside running my business I work part time at NHS Fife within an outpatient department.
HEALTH SCIENTIST, Coach and Sports Therapist
Regular exercise can be very rewarding in terms of wellbeing, which is why I have decided to become an exercise professional.
My philosophy focuses on continual learning as I work towards enhancing my knowledge in order to guide and inspire my clients on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. After 3 years of studies at Edinburgh College, I obtained fitness instructing, personal training and sports therapist qualifications and awarded an academic excellence award in Sport and Fitness in 2016. I have a BSc Biological Sciences (Human Health) Degree from Heriot Watt University to enrich my current knowledge and expand my abilities.
I have worked at Claire Adams Total Health since 2016 where I strive only for the
best results for clients each time. I enjoy guiding them and supporting them through their journey to a healthier lifestyle. I am committed to helping them achieve their dreams.
I was inspired to follow a career in personal training during my teenage years. I was not confident with myself at the time. I started to experiment with nutrition and exercise to enhance my confidence, improve my appearance and enhance my energy levels.
Weightlifting is now my passion and this led me into my love of bodybuilding. I started participating in UKUP in 2016. I was placed first in Miss Bikini and Miss Fitness Model Scotland and placed fifth in Britain. Competing gave me an inner strength, discipline and provided me with enhanced knowledge to put my skills to good use and train others to achieve their goals.
I am constantly expanding my skills regarding fitness and health. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great!
